Plantain Pretzels

  • 2 green plantains

  • Oil for frying canola, vegetable, grapeseed oil

  • 1 tsp of salt

  • ½ cup of butter vegan butter optional

  • ¼ cup of cinnamon

  • ⅓ cup of brown sugar


  1. Heat oil on high heat for deep frying

  2. Chop plantain into fries shape

  3. Lower heat to medium and add fries

  4. Occasionally stir until brown

  5. Remove from oil and lay out on paper towel

  6. You can coat finished fries with butter, salt, cinnamon and brown sugar to make pretzels

  • Can serve with vegan cream cheese frosting (link coming soon)

  • Eat while hot!
