Zesty Salmon

Back with another one of my mom's recipes!


  • fresh wild caught salmon

  • 4 lemons

  • oil

  • seasonings of your choice (salt, pepper, garlic powder, cayenne, creole seasoning)


  1. Scale fish in the sink while leaving the skin on

  2. Rinse and clean fish with cool water and lemon juice by rubbing and squeezing lemon halves all over the flesh and skin

  3. Rinse off with cool water

  4. Grease a cookie sheet generously with oil

  5. Place fish on cookie sheet, skin down

  6. Rub fish with lots of lemon juice, a tiny bit of oil, and seasonings

  7. Place cookie sheet on top rack of oven (or closest to broiler, some ovens have the broiler on the bottom)

  8. BROIL on high until fish is browned

  9. Remove and slide fish off cookie sheet immediately or it will stick

  10. Serve on a long plate and dress with lemon wedges
